Atul (DOB: 7/7/14) is the youngest of three. Atul is a lovely and jovial boy. He makes the family very happy in spite of their poor economic condition. His friends and neighbors even want to hang around and listen to what he has to share. He has a sweet voice and loves to sing devotional songs. He is playful and active. He is average in his studies and he likes to go to school. His father’s occupation is stitching leather shoes. He brings home the raw materials from the factory, stitches them at home and sends back the final product. This job is seasonal and he only works when the materials are available. Sometimes he has to wait months for material. The daily earnings from stitching shoes is so low that he can hardly save money for the slow months. This has been very difficult on him. Atul’s father really wants to give his children a good education so they can have a better life, but affording basic amenities stretches him thin.
