Kishor (8/9/17)

Kishor (DOB: 8/9/17) has a sweet voice and loves singing. He has an older sister and they live with their parents in a small, congested house with no toilet. To relieve themselves they travel to an open space. Both parents are daily wage laborers. Kishor’s father works in construction as long as there is work for him to do. His mother supports the family by working as a maid. Instead of paying her wages; they give her some cooked food, vegetables and snacks. Kishor’s parents are unable to provide nutritious food for their children. Because of that, Kishor is malnourished and is small for his age. He is physically weak and prone to sickness. In spite of these weaknesses, he is very active and playful. His parents want their children to go to good schools and study well, but they are unable to supply their educational needs, clothing or healthy food.
