Sandhya (9/15/18)

Sandhya (DOB: 9/15/18) is a good student and enjoys school. She also enjoys dancing and singing. Her favorite dishes are egg, rice and dal curry. She has one older sister and they live together with their parents in a very small single room. There is one well for the whole community, so they carry water to their home every morning and evening. There is also a common toilet place for the community that is not properly maintained. Her father is a cobbler and her mother is a housemaid. Their feeble and irregular income is not enough to cover the family's needs. When Sandhya was very small she fell from a terrace. As a result, her right hand is weak, smaller in size and she is unable to use it as she normally would. So, Sandhya uses her left hand for writing, eating and playing.
