Srimithran (4/27/19)

Srimithran (DOB: 4/27/19) is a delightful and playful boy. He enjoys spending time with his friends and dancing with them at celebrations. He has one older sister. His family lives in a small, mud-plastered hut with one electric outlet and bulb. The only belongings they have are a few pieces of clothing and some utensils. They live near the river so bathing, washing clothes and utensils, are done outside. His father is a daily laborer on the agricultural farm for six months. During the off-season, he goes for labor work on construction sites outside the village and near by districts. His mother works for 100 days as a part of a government assisted program. Both parents are illiterate so they do not have a lot of job opportunities. Because the community is located on the coast, it is prone to flooding caused by storms and heavy rain. So, when the rainy season comes, they have to leave their home due to flooding.
