Tharsan (8/5/19)

Tharsan (DOB: 8/5/19) comes from a very humble and simple family. He has one small sister and together with their parents, life in a small hut without basic facilities. There is no toilet and in one single room, they cook, eat, sleep and study. Rainy seasons are difficult as the rainwater immerses almost half the hut. The water inside the house is usually knee heigh. It takes many days for the water to go down. This situation interrupts normal life and the education of the children. Tharsan’s parents are illiterate yet they want him to have good education and come up in life. He is taken care of mostly by his maternal grandparents as they live in the same village. His grandfather makes huts in the village to earn money. With his little income, his old grandfather is supporting the whole family. Though is father is a mason, he is also an alcoholic and wastes all of his earnings on alcohol. Tharsan’s mother stays at home to care for his baby sister. Tharsan is an ambitious child; he likes to go to school and play with his friends. He wants to become a police inspector because of the influence of his favorite TV show. He is quite talented and good at dancing.
